The battle between Sasuke and Danzou continues. Madara starts talking about Izanagi and how it works, he basically said bad things for the user (wounds and death, for example) becomes illusion and the good ones (attacks to his contender, i.e) becomes reality and as it is mentioned above in the picture is Izanagi a genjutsu that affects, I can say, to the same user which makes him able to control his own reality. This explains clearly the reason Karin didn’t detect any disturbance in her chakra neither Sasuke’s and doubting about them being in a genjutsu. However, as always, more powerful the technique more the risk exists, there is a price: a sharingan eye must be lost. Perhaps, that is why Izanagi is forbidden; the sharingan is really precious for an Uchiha, losing his eyes would be devastating. That could decrease his power and be blind or have one eye for the rest of his life.

Danzou and Sasuke jutsus

As the fighting is progressing, Danzou just starts to dislike how much the battle it is prolonged so he used the weird animal summon (a la Pain). Madara calls it a Baku, the mythical quimera that devours nightmares. (Note: Madara knows everything! Is there something that he doesn’t know?) It looks like a mix of an elephant, a tiger and a bear, but whatever it is, Baku starts to suck up Susanoo. Sasuke tries to resist the attack. Danzou takes advantage of this and uses a wind type jutsu behind Sasuke to make a gap in Susanoo, but suddenly Sasuke uses a Katon jutsu to stop the suction and hit Danzou with Susanoo’s hand. Those panels are incredible, they show strategy (some) from both parts. Furthermore, the wind jutsus and the katon were awesome, I had already missed the old ninja school. It is kind of nostalgic, . Danzou proves also that wind can be as versatile and cool as lightning, he surprised me this time.

More revelations

As Sasuke and Danzou fight, Karin finds out another things about Izanagi: a sharingan eye closes each 60 seconds (this chapter destroyed my theory completely, ) and his chakra takes another dip. So if I understand correctly, each eye closed – less chakra.

She said something funny in this page: ¨But he may have more eyes hidden somewhere¨ Where could Danzou have more eyes? Maybe is the another arm, but it wouldn’t be unexpected and surprising anymore; on his legs? on his feet? on his butt? or perhaps on his… well you know what I mean. I think the sharingarm is enough.

Finally, when Karin is going to tell the info she had about Danzou´s jutsu to Sasuke… He had already found out about Izanagi, OMG . The last time he thought was in Itachi’s fight (long time ago). Back to the fighting, Danzou confirms Sasuke’s discovering, but both are worn out. Susanoo kills Danzou again with another hit and a eye closes. Sasuke with a partial Susanoo throws several shurinken and it seems he manages to make a little injury to Danzou’s face (he looks pretty pissed).

The real one?

Almost finish. Danzou makes a wind knife with his kunai, Sasuke makes his lightning sword and they charge staring each other’s eyes and both *pawn* get stabbed. Awesome panel. If the last eye closes, Danzou is dead but otherwise, Sasuke would be in a serious trouble. The circumstances can change everything, of course. I can’t wait to the conclusion!

9/10 I am happy today and benevolent.

Comments:

• Wind and Fire jutsus including the wind knife, pretty well done.
• The summon, good but weird.
• I was waiting a more important role for Karin but she was decent.
• Madara, nothing more nothing less.
• Sasuke uses his brain, excellent.
• Danzou, good strategist.
• The basic ninja moves return.
• Perfect drawings, specially the last one.

Predictions:

• I think somehow Danzou will survive and he will sacrifice the last sharingan he has on his head.
• I dont know if he are going to die or not, I believe he will.
• Perhaps it is time for someone else´s appearance maybe Sakura or Naruto, or a little of both.
• Unfortunately, I dont have predictions for Sasuke. Some posts I read said that Sasuke before get stabbed maybe used Tsukuyomi or someway he will cancel Danzou´s genjutsu or Sasuke copies Izanagi. There are many possibilities.
