Madara is unquestionably the smartest, most devious character in all of Naruto. So why reveal his master plan to the 5 Kages? So he can alert them because he likes the challenge? He must be doing the classic misdirection jutsu. While everyone is busy protecting the tailed beasts, he will be free to accomplish his real goal. I believe his true goal is to gain all the sharingans that are still in existence.

Why? As stated in the Manga, he is now a weakened version of his former self and by acquiring all the sharingans, he will somehow get back to full power.

Bottom of that page Madara takes interest in Itachi’s body and tells Zetsu to take it.

Now he is showing direct interest in Itachi’s eyes. Remember he is the smartest guy in Naruto, able to out think the 4th. It appears as if he is offering them up to Sasuke as if he doesn’t care, but I believe he knows exactly how Sasuke is going to respond before he asks the question.

Now interest in Danzo’s eye. He is very upset that Danzo made it unusable. This is unnatural if this is just his side hobby. Plus what is behind him in that picture? Is it a place where he stores them all? Just speculation but who knows. It reminds me of the place they keep dead people in real life.

So is there anyone left besides Sasuke with the sharingan? The answer is yes, Kakashi.

At the bottom of that page, Madara says “I will play with you children another time.” However, that scene in the anime has a completely different spin to it. It’s actually said directly at Kakashi in the form of a threat as Madara shows him his Sharingan. Go back and find it if you aren’t certain.

So my theory is Madara is going to scoop up Sasuke’s sharingan after he has no more use for him. Probably after he has already received Kakashi’s.

Now to take this theory full circle and come to my final point. We have never seen Madara go on the offensive in any fight. The closest we got was to when he took on Danzo’s body guards. But if you take a closer look at the fight, all Madara did was cleverly get them to harm each other, without making a single offensive maneuver. This is why he needs Sasuke. He CANT do offensive techniques. This is why he must be so circumspect and has hid in the shadows throughout the entire show. He needs the sharingan to get his power back. That is my theory.

Madara has made Sasuke a hated criminal outlaw that no one would protect. In fact, he has made him a target. That would be mighty brilliant of a man that wants him dead for his eyes, yet can’t kill him himself (because he can’t use offensive techniques which is also why he never killed Itachi). However again Naruto is about to throw a wrench into his master plan and take the opposite route, not killing Sasuke.

Alright so you know what I think, and thats that Uchiha Madara needs all the sharingan. Although this was implied, I feel like I must write it out to make this more complete. Madara from the get go has manipulated and is using Sasuke for his own goals. I’m sure almost everyone got a sense that something like that was going on, but now I have a theory as to why. So he could get him to kill Danzo, and possibly other things if he survives the current fight.

In response to a comment down there as to how the tailed beasts fit into all of this, I just don’t have an explanation. I don’t think it’s a complete decoy though, because it has taken up a huge portion of the show.
